The State of ServiceNow | Dec 2023

Lots happening in the ecosystem this holiday season. You’re not going to believe what’s unfolded this past month!

ServiceNow goes all in on India!

ServiceNow, with the help of Pearson, uncovered some game-changing insights on India's evolving skill landscape. Brace yourself—16.2 million Indian workers need to up-skill for the AI and automation wave, but here's the silver lining: 4.7 million shiny new tech jobs are on the horizon.

The demand for ServiceNow platform skills is surging—job postings in India shot up by 39% in the last year. And hey, India's digital skill scene is blooming, creating cool opportunities for roles like app developers, data analysts, platform owners, product pros, and implementation wizards.

With ServiceNow leading the charge, India's sprint to a $1 trillion digital economy just got turbocharged. 🚀

Apple’s got a fever, and the only prescription is more ServiceNow!

Ok, so we might be overreacting. One of Apple’s lead developers posted on Linkedin about hiring another ServiceNow developer. Not really huge news.

However…

If you look a little closer the job page shows this:

Here’s why that’s interesting…

This past year our report highlighted the fact that employee experience was a KEY investment for users. This means that Apple knows that too. While we don’t know how many other positions for this they need to fill, we do know one thing: USERS are investing in the experience their employees have.

In fact, more than half of ServiceNow users see employee recruitment and retention as the primary motivators for their investment in the platform!

Bill McDermott has a BIG vision for ServiceNow!

In a recent conversation with David Rubenstein, Bill McDermott delves into the trajectory of ServiceNow and its future saying “I have a long-term vision for the company of what it can become. I came here with a dream. In 2019, I said to people, ‘We’re going to be the defining enterprise software company of the 21st century. And that’s why I’m here, to make that happen.’”

This interview offers a glimpse into the company’s upcoming journey and underscores the steadfast commitment of its leadership to foster innovation and drive transformative change.
